Document Manager - Upload document into service request

7 posts in this topic

I have uploaded a number of our documents in Document Manager and shared to my team.

I have tried dragging and dropping the file from document manager into a service request and it doesn't allow me to do so, silly question but is this the correct way to do this?

Regards

Hi @shamaila.yousaf

There is no such thing as a silly question :D

Unfortunately we cannot drag and drop from any files embedded within document manager. The correct way would be to download the file from document manager onto your machine, perhaps your desktop or downloads folder. You can then either drag and drop that file into the Request directly from where the file was downloaded or you can point to the file location and upload.

Hope that helps.

Hi Shamaila,

We do have a planned change which will add a Document Manager Plug-in on a request.  Once this has been completed it will allow you to link documents in Document Manager to your requests.  I will keep this post updated and this change progresses.

Kind regards,

James

This would be very helpful and stop a lot of additional attachments being uploaded.
