SQL Contact Importer - Portal Account Password

Recommended Posts

When loading bulk contacts you can specify the logon_id, but you cannot specify a contact's password or indicate if their guest portal account should be created and whether it should be Approved or Suspended.

Can the tool be extended to include these facilities, so it will make migrating customers from previous systems more seamless.

Can you advise if there are any plans for update/extend the Contact Importer, as it is quite important for those of us who are looking to bring on different Service Desks into a common instance and do not have the access to the initial Hornbill Switch On service to do it for us?

Cheers

Trying to get this to work as much as I can, it does seem that by using the    "AttachCustomerPortal": true, the account will be set to allow CustomerPortal access, using the login id you have populated in the upload.

Users would then be able to use the Forgotten Password routine to reset their password, but at least you do not have to manually setup guest portal accounts for all the contact you are importing.
