Kelvin
Is there a task I can use in my BPM that will only point the user at the assign screen I have tried But the BPM does not continue once a new owner has been assigned.
James Ainsworth
Hi Kelvin, There is a slight variation between the tasks "Wait for New Request Owner" and the "Wait for Request Owner". The "Wait for Request Owner" is used when the owner has not been assigned and this field is currently blank. This is useful for when a request is first raised against a team and you want the assignment of an support person to be the next step. The "Wait for New Request Owner" is used when the request already has an owner assigned and you need to wait for it to be re-assigned to someone else. This can be used where a request is already assigned to someone but it as reached a stage in the process where someone else needs to manage it, but you don't want to remove the original owner while it is waiting to be re-assigned. As you are using the "Wait for New Request Owner" can you confirm if there is already someone assigned to the request when it reaches this task in the BPM? James Ainsworth
Hi Kelvin, I can confirm that we have identified an issue with the "Wait for New Request Owner" not allowing the BPM to proceed. This is currently with our development team and we will look to provide a fix in one of the upcoming updates.

Hi @James Ainsworth, Could the Wiki be updated to reflect this information? I couldn't figure out what the difference was so did a search in hope that the forums might have the answer and here it is. Thanks, Samuel
James Ainsworth
Hi @samwoo The Wiki has been updated with a small note to identify the difference between these two options. The update is at https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php/Business_Process_Workflow#Suspend Regards, James
